FCCLA members and Fashion class participants created 117 dresses last semester for the Ramini Orphanage in Indonesia as a community service project. They are now sewing shorts for the little boys who will also be living at the orphanage. You can read the entire article as written by Edie Hand of Nashville at Genuineperlgirls.com. Six students were chosen to attend a High Tea at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Flowers in Birmingham because of their hard work and dedication to this project: Kaitlyn Ewing, Carol Rosales, Bailey Kirby, Wendy Pena, Baylee Jordan, and Olinda Boyzo. The girls were taken to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory by Mrs. Neel, Emily Neel and Hannah Neel.
This group of students also sent cheer to Children's of Alabama. Prayer pocket pillows and handwritten letters were constructed for those who would be staying in the hospital during the holidays.
